Sean K. Odenwalder (DMD)
Sean Odenwalder, DMD, received his dental degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Odenwalder completed the U.S. Navy’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program in Norfolk, VA. As a naval officer, he spent four years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps at Camp Pendleton before coming to Mission Family Dentistry.
“Dr. O” is a North County San Diego native. He and his wife, Amy, and their two children, Kirk and Heidi, currently reside in Vista, CA. Dr. O is very involved in his church and with the Boy Scouts and enjoys sailing and outdoor activities with his Rhodesian Ridgeback, Gator.
Dr. Odenwalder is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society. He continues to increase his knowledge and skills in the latest advancements in dentistry by regularly attending continuing education events, conferences and hands on courses.

Office Manager
Our office manager, Tricia, has been a part of our team since 1995. She brings a wealth of knowledge to our practice with over 40 years of experience in the dental field, and she is the first person you’ll likely encounter when you call our office. Whether you need to schedule an appointment or have insurance or billing concerns, she is always ready to assist you with any questions you may have. In her free time, Tricia enjoys spending time with her adult twin sons and grandchildren. She loves reading, cooking and the beach!
Lead hygienist
Martha, our lead hygienist, received her Bachelor’s in dental hygiene from Loma Linda University and has been a member of our team for over 20 years. She is an avid traveler and has seen more countries than all of our team members combined! Martha is married with two daughters, and when she isn’t running or biking or being a busy mom, she is providing our patients with outstanding periodontal care.
Hygienist
Our hygienist, Bonnie, was born and raised in Miami, FL, and made her way to Southern California in the early 90’s. She received her dental hygiene degree from Cypress College in 1998. Before becoming a hygienist, she worked as a dental assistant and especially loved pediatrics. She has been a member of our team for over 7 years. When she needs to relax, she heads to the outdoors to enjoy nature and sunshine!
Registered Dental Assistant
Nicole is a registered dental assistant but is also pursuing her degree in dental hygiene. She loves meeting new people and enjoys the outdoors – especially fishing! Although dentistry plays a big role in her life, her real passion is cooking. She claims that if she hadn’t become a dental assistant, she would have become a chef!
